Degree of Work Stress in Accordance with the Behavior Type of Occupational Therapists in Medical Rehabilitation Centers

Abstract
Objective: This study was performed to investigate the degree of work stress in accordance with the behavior type of occupational therapists in medical rehabilitation centers.

Methods: The study was undertaken with occupational therapists from medical rehabilitation centers in Daegu, and total 83 survey sheets were finally analysed that were collected through mailing.

Results: In the analysis results, the total level of work stress according to the gender and age, clinical experience, education of occupational therapists do not show statistically significant difference, but the level of work stress according to the age and clinical experience showed a statistically significant difference. A result of examining the degree of work stress according to the behavior type of Occupational Therapist, A behavior type group is compared to the B behavior type group of the total level of work stress and during sub-region workload and doctor/boss and the work related, non-work stress, inadequate compensation to statistically significantly higher.

Conclusion: In order to reduce work stress for Occupational Therapists, psychosocial factors such as the A behavior type should be properly controlled. In the further research, it is necessary to consider the behavior types of Occupational Therapists to help them to provide occupational therapy services more efficiently to the clients.
